Strengthening the banks of the Zarafshan River (stage 1)
Restoring and concreting the riverbanks: the project is 69 percent complete.

Project cost (construction and installation): UZS 12,698.2 million. Completed: UZS 8,823.9 million (69%). Financed: UZS 6,295.0 million (50%). Limit allocated for 2026: UZS 15,000.0 million.
Scope: restoring and concreting the banks — left bank 2,170 metres, right bank 1,780 metres (maximum water flow of the Karadarya — 600 m³/s).
Status: concrete work has been completed on 1,500 metres of the right bank; on the left bank, 250 metres of concrete work and 70 metres of bank restoration have been done. 40 workers and 19 machines are currently working on the site.
